The Guttural Cry that I Hear

I want to start this post by saying I know I’m not going to say everything correctly. I know I may inadvertently offend someone. I will get some, if not many, of the words wrong. Please know that causing hurt is not my heart. This post is a response to being convicted recently by Pastor John Gray’s challenge to speak up even though we may get it wrong…to not wait until we feel we have the perfect words to say…but to go ahead and just say something. Anything! Because saying nothing is indifference.

As I’ve watched Stan navigate through feelings of shock, disbelief, fear, ownership, determination and execution in regards to a diagnosis and all that it entails, I’ve been nothing short of amazed at the man God has given me.  Stan didn’t want this challenge, nor did he ask for it with bad habits and lack of self-care.

The Reason We Don't Talk About Sin

Hello.  My name is Cammie and I’m a sinner. I know it and I own it.  I try not to sin, but inevitably, it happens.  Whether it’s something I say, watch, or do, no sooner does the action take place than I know what’s transpired.  Sometimes I sin deliberately.  Sometimes it’s an honest mistake.  Regardless, I know that I’m a big fat sinner…and I think that’s a very good thing.
